Unstoppable Meet Betty White in You Again with Alien from Skyline Above

Unstoppable is simply unstoppable.

The thriller with the up-and –coming Chris Pine, teaming up with the one-and-only Danzel Washington is simply a thriller itself to watch them sparing on the silver screen.

Though the main character is the train, you just can’t keep your butt on your seat when Chris Pine try to jump on the train or when u are watching Danzel Washington running on it.

The plot is simple. A lose train on a railway track and everyone is trying to stop it.

It’s a spectacle to watch the train storm through everything though. It felt like the train has a soul on itself and retaliates everyone trying to stop him with sheer elegance.

For those of u that have missed You Again. I think you ought to get it on DVD or cable next time. It’s not the type that any macho man would like. But I find that it’s not bad to get a feel laughs without too much “dirt” sometimes. You Again is like a “The Proposal”-feel / Wedding War Story line meets Mean Girl Plot.

Yes, it’s the ultimate Chick Flick. But it brings so much of fun when there’s 3 generation of great actor and actresses on a movie and watching them throw comedy at each other every 5 minute.

I laugh until my lung falls out. Haha

Now the Holiday season Blockbuster is on full fledge. Opening the Full CGI –Graphic Blown Saga is Skyline. A more steady camera’d “Cloverfield” and a turn back to the old “Independence Day”-esque set up. U might find yourself trap in a movie that’s too clear in graphic though. Cloverfield sink you into the scene, too near in fact that u puke. But Skyline, a lot of the work draws u out of it. The Graphic is amazing. But u still can see that the merge between the CGI and the real set is not well balance. Black Plastic bag as the floor of the space ship? Guys, even Aliens don’t do that mistake 25 years ago.

The storyline is short and simple. It’s a lot more like an elaborated Special Effects movie projects really. The Effects is fantastic. And u can see the lead in to every big scene. But it felt too forced. And the characters a lot of time simply run around to showcase the real character of the movie, The Visual Effects.

There’s just too few emotional trigger in the movie after the first 15 minutes to attract the audience to the main character.
